CANCELLATION OF SJI OPEN HOUSE ON 18 July

Please be informed that SJI Open House scheduled on 18 Jul 2009 will be CANCELLED (as informed by SJI).

(a) SJI has various financial schemes to assist any boy whose parents cannot afford the school fees.

NO SCHOOL CLOSURE

I received some emails from some of you. Hence, just to confirm what MOE released today, there will be no school closure.

CANCELLATION OF PSLE BOOSTER AND ALL SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FROM 22nd to 26th June 2009

Dear 6B,

In view of the current H1N1 situation, please be informed that PSLE Booster will be cancelled and all other school activities (CCA, remedials etc) will be cancelled as well.

If you have any queries, you can email me, call me or sms me if you have my handphone number.

Please exercise vigilance during this period as all of us have a part in preventing the further spread of H1N1.

You are advised not to come to school for seven days if you have returned from the following states: USA, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Japan, Spain, United Kingdom (includes Ireland and N. Ireland), Chile, Panama,Argentina, Thailand, Philippines and Dominican Republic. (From my understanding, there isn't any students from our class... but if you did travel to these places, do let me know.)

National Library Book Exchange

Event: The Book Exchange (Where used books become new reads!)
Organizer: Public Libraries Singapore, NLB

How is the Exchange of used books done? Simply drop off your used books at any NLB public library from 11-24 Apr 2009 from 11- 8pm.
On 25 Apr, collection is only done at The Plaza, National Library Building => For each used book dropped off, you will receive an exchange coupon indicating a one-for-one exchange. => Bring your coupon(s) to the Plaza on 25 Apr to redeem used books.


Terms and conditions Each person can exchange up to a maximum of 30 used books (preferrably in good condition!). We accept children's and adults' fiction and non-fiction books (eg. cookbooks, travel guides and romance novels) in any of the four official languages.
